My old self propelled Hoover WindTunnel upright was still working but when the off/on switch fell off I began thinking, “Time for a replacement.” Comments and reviews on Amazon are major factors affecting my buying decisions. When I saw 1600 plus reviews for this model it caught my attention. And when they averaged 4 1/2 stars that really made me take notice.
Everything seemed positive, but I still had a concern about the increased effort involved in pushing a non self propelled vacuum. None of the reviews seemed to address that issue. Even though other buyers didn’t cover the issue, I still pulled the trigger. The weight difference between my old vacuum, 21 pounds, and this one, 16 pounds, made the difference. Being 5 pounds lighter makes it easier to push.
This vacuum is stripped down, no light, no fancy switch, no deep dirt indicator, no full bag indicator, no b.s., just a down and dirty mean machine. The low price is a bonus. I highly recommend it.
