“Artemis Fowl” by Eoin Colfer, ©2001
I could not help thinking, “What if he had to hurt or even kill someone or something? Could he do it?” He is presented as a merciless criminal, and he is performing as such, but the situation is not developed that he would have to make such a choice. But he is only twelve years old, so the question is could he?
I always enjoy these teenager stories. They are so interesting and the stories are generally pretty good. This is the story of a little boy genius following in his fathers footsteps. His father was a criminal mastermind. His mother is distraught by is disappearance a year or so before the story.
Artemis Fowl acquires, by a bit of deceit a book of the elves, gnomes, dwarves, etc. With this book he concocts to get hold of a bunch of gold. He underestimates the power of the elves. They underestimate his power. In the end everyone is happier, though the elves are a bit poorer. He gets his mother healed by the power of one of the elfs.

Neale provides a fresh approach to how we can view God – and how God loves us unconditionally. This is a big change from what many believe today, because the prevailing thought about God is one who loves us but also who judges us. Unconditional love means without conditions – and this is a huge leap for one to take. If you are at least a little open to new thoughts, then this book may be for you.
This is the first of many books written by Neale and they have been translated into many different languages and millions have read his new theology. Neale has dedicated his life to helping those of us who desire to know and experience God in a more loving way. Kudos to Neale!
Scooter Board Cone Cart
This is truly a great scale – beautiful, elegant, well-made and pinpoint accurate on measurement after measurement. What a contrast to the throw-away scale I had before. Highly recommended.

This Garmin portable friction mount works so well on our uneven car dashboard even on curvy, bumpy roads. Sure beats holding the Garmin in my hand. It’s clearly in view and so easy to put out of sight or bring in house when desired. Really like this.
