The kindle is good and would be great if the 3g or edge or grps worked where I am located.
I went thru 2 kindles trying to get it to work with no luck just a lot of wasted time.
I could only get 1 bar at certain times, which is not enough to get to the store. I am located 25miles south of Fargo ND. I went to a farmstead in central ND and got to the storeand downloaded a sample, worked fine. I download books etc via computer which works fine for me. I have a pocketpc I used as a reader, which is smaller and cost quite a bit more and I have to down load to computer. The price of the books a quite a bit cheaper for the Kindle. The battery on the kindle seems to last forever. The keyboard is full on the 2nd gen. but not on the latest gen. I would like to have the wii but won’t buy a new one just for that.

I don’t care what anyone says, the Wii is fabulous. This one was bought for my 75 year old mother. The whole extended family, from 2 year olds to 80 year olds enjoy playing Wii games. None of us are true gamers and I think many of the elitist reviews are some sort of video game snobbery. Pretty much everyone, but the 2 year old, is able to instantly play and enjoy all the Wii games. The fitness benefits are also tremendous. There are so many games available that give you a work out while you are having fun. I recommend the Wii to everyone. It is well worth the money.

We have a saying here “like water for an elephant” which means a useless gesture. Loosely translated, it means a that there is a certain uselessness to give someone who is VERY poor anything – for the very reason that it will never be enough. The elephants in the wild travel in herds and are usually the first to suck a water hole dry. The metaphor is complete implying the uselessness of bringing a thirsty elephant a bucket of water, or several, to quench its thirst.
As soon as I saw the big top cover I was even more interested. I read once that when circus elephants arrived in a town, many kids would gather and offer to bring water to the elephant so it could drink and they may be rewarded with free tickets. Maybe this was it?? The figure of a man entering a Big top from the side flap, only to see a figure looking in from the main door struck me as if it were something I was not supposed to see. This was the beginning of a mezmerizing journey….
In post-depression America, Jacob Jankowski, a bound-for-glory, then displaced graduate student who tragically loses his parents, home and future in the first breath of the story, is our 23 year old hero that we instantly like and feel sorry for. He impulsively, almost accidentally, joins a circus, instantly realizing how destitute he is. Hard work, hideous living conditions, a life on the rails, BUT food…becomes his reality. In the world that he (and we) is new to, he is forced to see and witness more than meets the normal spectator’s eye. In no time we all face the reality of running a circus instead of watching one.
The screeching of brakes against rails; railcars stuffed with wild and exotic animals as well as straw, manure, closely knit sleeping quarters; townfolk (or Rubes) that come to the show; sensuality, sex, alcoholism; and Uncle Al, the Ringleader/owner/cheat/boss extrordinairre, are just for suckers! These are only the backdrop of a magnificent story. Interwoven is the love, the man, the compa

Hunters in the Sky
Fred Astaire does it again in the context of WW2, in which he is a pilot. During a ten days’ leave, he goes on his own in some city and seduces a photographer, a lady mind you. The film is the story of this seducing episode with all kinds of complications with her boss who is in love with her but gallantly yields, with his fellow pilots who try to inject some pepper into the situation, and with the plane industrialist who does not know anything about flying his own planes and the difficulties or dangers such an action may imply and contain. What’s more there is little dancing, for once. The photographer will only discover who Fred Astaire is in the very few minutes when he is to leave. Romantic and kind of simplistic. And this is not made up by the sudden angry dancing spell in which Fred Astaire destroys a great number of glasses and even some mirrors in a ritzy bar.
